Dorothy Webb

• Biography

  Dorothy was born to a wealthy American industrialist and his wife. She grew up among the very richest of American society. Her more practical education was overseen by a variety of private tutors, while the rest was the purvue of her mother. Dotty learned dance and piano alongside mathematics and geography.
  
  Both smart and beautiful, she was welcomed into every social circle that mattered but Dotty cultivated her friends carefully. She led a private book club of similarly wealthy and intelligent women, wanting both an opportunity to read more books and have intelligent conversations. She is also, led by her father's example, an avid philanthropist. Her favorite charities are art or literature based but she will donate her time and month to just about any cause that needs her.
  
  Dotty was expected by her mother to marry rich and by her father to marry intelligently. Dotty was rather neutral on the subject. Men in her circle were all rather the same, she felt. Intelligent enough to satisfy her father, rich enough to satisfy her mother but there was always something missing.
  
  Then she met Bastian and everything seemed to slot into place.
